    Back in 2007 I painted up this goofy, freely conceived sketch for a couple of relatives. Just felt like doing something fast & fun. I grew up with chickens. I like chickens. I live in Petaluma. I painted this chicken.

    Ignoring realism, lighting, perspective, and the rest — it turned out both eyes ended up on the same side of the head, as in portraits by Picasso. So I named him Chicken Picasso.
